Even if the rich text editor provides the basic features of formatting, it would be very handy to support markdown, especially for links.
In particular the editor doesn't provide any tool to hyperlink text, which is a shame as links are automatically created whenever you add an url (web of any app scheme). It would just be great it we could set up the caption instead of having a messy start name.
