Would love to see an X that will delete the contents of the search bar as many other apps use so we don't have to manually delete the contents every time we search and this would speed up being able to swap between the different sidebars.

Thank you for the message! Just a quick word that you can hit ESC when typing in the search field to quickly clear the search query. We'll add an X button for the input as well.
