Blurry Fonts on HDPI Windows 10

Does anyone else get really blurred program fonts on Win 10?  My desktop and other apps look good, and the title bar looks good, but the app menus feel almost unusable?  I've tried using the in app settings and the windows compatability settings, but the only thing that worked thus far was changing windows scaling to 100% and using large fonts.  Almost works for this program, but 13" 1440p @ 100% is REALLY tiny for anything else.  When HDPI came to Win 10 a few years ago, this was pretty common, but I haven't seen an app do this in at least a year.  Is it not updated yet maybe?

I really like the program otherwise, hoping to use it with less eyestrain?

  Thank you for reaching out! The blurriness was due to one of the optimizations we made in a recent build, and we've found the cause of the issue. This issue has been addressed on our end, and the fix will go out in our upcoming release. Thank you for your patience!

  To Chris and anyone else experiencing this issue:

  If you want a quick fix without waiting for our upcoming release, here's how to fix it:

  1) Delete the file: C:\Program Files\Pagico\qt.conf

  2) Set a new Environment Variable:

  QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR = 1

  To do so, copy the command below and paste it into a command line, then hit ENTER:

  setx QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR 1

  Then, relaunch Pagico and the rendering should be clear again. Hope this helps!

  Just FYI, that after these changes, please make sure that in Pagico Preferences, set the font size to Normal and things should look correct at this point.

  I understand, things happen.  I'm impressed that your team owned it and fixed it!

  I actually edited the conf file, to avoid potential conflicts with other qt apps installed, but it worked perfectly.

  My old eyes need all the help they can get!

  Now, to get organized...!

  I've got this problem too and mind even worst.
  
  It's because of high resolution display with the scale up from windows.
  
  I think I have easier fix and no need to mess up with the conf file is

  Locate you Pagico.exe Default it should be at C:\Program Files\Pagico

  Right click -> Properties  -> Compatibility Tab -> Change high DPI settings -> Check on : Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling perform by -> Choose Application -> OK -> OK
  
  And you are all set.

  I had tried that; it didn't work in my case, but it's definitely a hidden gem of Windows 10.

  You're right though, if that solves it for you, it's easier than editing the .conf file or using the shell to set global parameters.

  Ironically, all of which are easier than actually being organized...but I'm off to a better start!
