I would like to keep my two databases completely separate on the same computer as if each doesn't know the other exists. Is this possible? When I set up the second database tasks from the other database show up in the calendar and the Inbox.

Yes, this is certainly possible. The Pagico databases are all self-contained and completely separate.
The "leakage" that you saw was really content from your Inbox. We designed the Inbox to be a bridge among all your databases. So you can save stuff to your inbox and access your Inbox content from any one of your databases. The content stored in your databases are completely separate.
One other thing to watch out for is the "Personal Cloud" feature. Obviously, turning on this feature will add everything to your Personal Cloud and this action will effectively blend your data across databases.
