optional automatic sequential number per new task

I use filemaker at present to manage my workload and have begun trialling Pagico. I use a sequential number system to track all my work. Each task/job has a unique number identifier.  Could Pagico generate a sequential ID on every task. Of course, this would be optional in the settings for those who don't wish to use it. A simple sequential number would suffice starting at an initial number in the settings eg.10001

  Pagico currently doesn't generate an sequential number for each task, but it does have a unique ID for each item. You can obtain the ID of an item by right-clicking on it, then choose "Copy item link" from the popup menu. The link you'll get will be like this:

  pagico://D0000913B-ABCDEFGHIJLKJB3348081C.10121453355DC97DAE28255

  Here, the part after the double slash is the unique ID section. Would this be something you can use?

  Sorry for the delay in responding. It's useful to know but I'll try the # numbering for a bit to keep it simple.
