Tired of waiting for Pagico to be updated for the latest Ubuntu version, I managed to get it working, so I put here the instructions if someone has the same issue.
The problem is that Pagico depends on libcurl3, but new Ubunbu has libcurl4.
There is PPA package that installs both libcurl3 and libcurl4 on the same machine
https://launchpad.net/~xapienz/+archive/ubuntu/curl34
After installing it, I was able to install and run latest Pagico sucessfully

Can we expect in the near future to have Pagico updated to run with Ubuntu 18?

Yes, we do intend to support Ubuntu 18 in the near future. I apologize for the delay though!
I was able to download the Ubuntu version and install on 18.04 today without any problems at all. Didn't have any dependency issues and didn't have to find any other repositories to make Pagico to work. Was able to sync with my Workspaces right away.

Thank you for the input! Indeed the issues have gone away in 18.04.1, so as of now Pagico appears to be functioning correctly based on our preliminary testings. We'll keep an eye on this and report back if anything else comes up.

I'm on Ubuntu 18.10, it works, but the documents or images do not open, I still find that it's been a lot of months that compatibility should have been achieved, it is not serious on the part of the pagico editor, they said that the compatibility would be realized in December and we are in January and no version for Ubuntu, so I hope that a version will come out and fully functional
