A few suggestions for improving Pagico

I have been test driving Pagico and seriously considering making the switch from Omnifocus to Pagico. Here are a few suggestions for improving the product. They are small but go a long way in improving the product usability and user experience.

1. Ability to see calendar events from external calendars in order to help planning.

2. While setting repeating task, need feature to repeat the task on particular days. Currently, if I have a repeating task on Mon, Wed and Fri, the only way to do it is to duplicate the task 3 times and set each one to repeat at 1 week intervals.

3. If I have a repeating task, then I want to see all future events for that.

4. More colors for color coding the projects/tasks.

5. Is there support for Applescript? Where can I find the documentation. My main request is for the new task dialog box to open when I am in any application (just like Omnifocus)

  To everyone,

  Thank you for your input! I'd like to confirm with you guys that:

  1) The inclusion (or importing) of external calendar events into the main Pagico app is on our roadmap;

  2) A more robust task repeating mechanism that shows at least one future occurrence, and allows setting the repeating end-date or count, is also on our roadmap.

  To Roger, currently the only way to make a copy of a list item (task) is by right-clicking on it and choose "Copy to" in the menu, then choose a destination which could be the currently active project. However, that will result in a standalone task item instead of a list item inside a list. We'll add "Duplicate" to list items in our upcoming updates so that you can easily perform this action.

  I wholeheartedly agree. It is very frustrating not being able to pick the days I want it to repeat on.

  I would add that many apps make a distinction between repeating tasks that repeat with a set frequency, and tasks that repeat a set amount of time after they've been checked as "done". It would make sense to see all instances of the former, but not the latter.

  Since we are on the topic of due dates, I think the app is sorely missing a date picker. I often find myself having to open a separate calendar app to figure out the date something should be set due, and then typing in the date.

  How do I duplicate a task? I sam building a calendar schedule for a 10 day seminar and need to have the meals listed every day. Since the "repeat" function does not show the next day until the previous day is checked off, "repeat" will not work. How can i duplicate an event or task without retyping all the parameters, Is there a way to copy/paste? Thank you!

  @Bruce,

  Some points that I missed in my original reply:

  4) More color choices will be added.

  5) AppleScript support is not on our roadmap at this moment. We may revisit this in the near future though. For a more convenient New Task panel, please consider using the Pagico Helper app, which lives in the menu bar and can be invoked with a customizable global keyboard shortcut.
