The calendar view would be much more useful to me if my actual Calendar, with appointments and meetings on it, was also visible.

CM Official comment Thank you all for your input and interest in our products! The integration with calendar apps & services is high on our list, and we'll work hard to get this done in the very near future.

Helen F Hello I am very impressed with Pagico and really want to use it. Lack of sync with calendar is a major issue holding me back - any chance you could give an indication whether this is likely to be implemented sometime?
An EVEN BIGGER issue holding me form committing to Pagico is lack of sync with native Mac contacts. I fear I will end up with two separate contacts databases each with overlapping details (as I add a phone number in Pagico, an address in Mac Contacts etc.
These must be issues that affect everyone!
Does anyone have advice or suggestions to help me decide whether to jump on board with Pagico or stay with my current inefficient system?

Steve C Hi Helen. The Pagico Help Centre shows you how to link to calendar apps, which will then display all Pagico tasks with due dates. Pagico won't display calendar events from your external calendar apps though, which may be what you're looking for - not something that I'd wish for.
Pagico won't sync with your Mac Contacts application, though you can easily drag-and-drop individual contacts into Pagico. I'm only speaking as another user, but I wouldn't want ALL my contacts dumped into Pagico, as perhaps fewer than 10% of mine ever need a task associating with them. Also, if they were fully synced, there would have to be some way to resolve what would happen to a Pagico contact when the corresponding entry was deleted in the Mac Contacts app.
In terms of whether or not to switch to Pagico, I guess the biggest issue is whether the functionality is better than what you're using at present, and the other big issue is reliability. I can't answer the first question for you, though I've used a number of Mac-based solutions, such as OmniFocus and Things, and I much prefer Pagico. In terms of reliability though, Pagico 8.5 currently has a lot of minor bugs, but nothing beyond minor annoyances, and I've always felt that my data was safe and secure, which is of course vital.

Helen F Thanks for your helpful comments. I would like to see two way sync between contacts and calendar and pagico, with ability to specify which groups or calendars were synced. I think this is available on lots of other third party productivity apps.
I agree Pagico has features better than other to-do apps. That is why I want to use it. I just want to have confidence I wont regret committing to it more fully, as there is a bit of time investment involved in learning Pagico and setting it up..
For the meantime I am using a hodge podge of apps and techniques I have developed over the years that work sort of ok!
Thanks again!

Edgardo Bartolazzi I would like to see my iCal events in Pagico, too.
I think it's very important if you want to really understand how busy your day will be, and so get organized.
I also would like to be able to set the expected duration of an event before scheduling it, so I could put it in the "some day" list and put it in the first day when is possible to dedicate myself to it.
I am now using OmniFocus, that works very good, but I see in Pagico a greater way to organize my activity. However, I think it would drive me crazy to plan a day needing to have my calendar and Pagico open together. So I hope that will be fixed soon, so I could consider switch to Pagico at 100%

Steve C For me, tasks are something I fit around all my fixed appointments, which I consider to be 'hard landscape'. I guess it would be nice to have everything in one place though, particularly as I spend so much time in Pagico these days!
I used OmniFocus (and generally loved it) for the best part of 10 years, but in balance am SO glad I switched to Pagico. It's already excellent, but the potential is colossal!

Mike L This is a real drawback at the moment. In order to schedule my tasks I need to open my Outlook calendars to see when I am available. Would love the option to subscribe to a calendar and be able to see my real schedule in Pagico. Would also like to schedule real appointments (ie a 2hr meeting on the 3rd Friday of every month).

Peter I agree that this is a disappointing limitation. I like the look of Pagico as an app that keeps a lot of important things in one place. To have info that is deposited in ical thru invitations to meetings show up on the Pagico calendar would be most helpful.

James Harris I couldn't agree more, Pagico is so almost the perfect all-in-one solution but the inability to see my calendar items (and ideally edit them from within Pagico) means I cannot commit to this app. Add this feature dev team and i'm yours!
Everything viewable and editable in one place - the dream.
