Completing a late repeating task should skip to next real-time occurrence

I would love for a repeating task to update to the next future date upon completion instead of progressing to the next actual date, which would be in the past if the task is completed late. E.g., imagine I have a daily repeating task that I last completed on October 7 2020 and I just got around to completing it today. When I click "done," I would like that task to reschedule itself for tomorrow, not October 8 2020. Currently, in order to eliminate all the past repeating dates, I would have to edit the task to update its due date to tomorrow or drag it to tomorrow on the dashboard.

  Hi Pat,

  We just released a newer version (rev 20210106). In this build, we didn't change the task-completion behavior, but we introduced a new right-click menu command called "Skip to present". This menu command will let you skip all the past-due repeating occurrences and fast-forward to the next valid one.
