I work with a small publisher and am responsible for many aspects of design and illustration for their books. Watching one of the Pagico workshops I was really intrigued with the idea of dashboards.
So I’ve set up a workflow that consists of three individual projects for the design of the cover, interior pages, and additional marketing. I link each project with the other so it’s easy to jump from one to another related project.
I then create a book title dashboard that uses smart lists to gather all projects related to that title.
In addition, I have a publisher’s project dashboard using smart lists to view all the book title dashboards.
So far this seems to be working pretty well for me, but I’d be interested if anyone thinks I’ve over-complicated it and there might be an easier or more efficient way to accomplish the same thing.
I’ve only just tried setting up templates and what I haven’t been able to figure out is whether or not I can set up a group of templates with all those links and smart lists already set up. Is that possible at all?
