I can archive an item and I know how to show or hide archived items. But I can't find a way to unarchive it so it permanently sits in my projects list again. Yet it is possible to add new tasks to an archived item... Maybe I am missing something, can someone clarify this?

I'll be happy to help! Simply go to this archived project, click on the "More Actions" button on the right, then click on "Archive" again. The label is misleading, but the behavior is correct (it'll unarchive the project). We've had this issue solved in our private build already. Soon the label should correctly read as "Unarchive".
