Getting Started with Opusonix as a Student or Faculty

Creating the Account

To get started with Opusonix, you'll need your own Opusonix account. To do so, simply visit https://opusonix.com/signup and create your account. When creating your account, in order to be eligible for the Education tier and its 6-month free usage period, be sure to use your ".edu" email address.

 

Setting Your Name and Avatar

In an educational setting, it's usually a good idea to let everyone know who you are. So it's recommended that you set your name AND your user avatar when you get a chance. To do so, at the Opusonix dashboard, click on your user icon near the top right corner, and choose "Edit Profile Info" from the menu.

You'll notice that there's a phone number field in the User Profiles panel. This field is optional and you do not need to fill it out. If you do fill this out, this information will be available to all your future collaborators.

 

Free Usage Period and Pricing Details

With the Opusonix Education tier, you enjoy a 6-month free usage period after you sign up. When this period ends, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Opusonix Free tier and you will not lose access to your existing data. You can continue to use Opusonix and create new projects as long as you are within the Opusonix Free quota limits. If you exceeded the quota of the free tier, then you will not be able to create new projects or upload new files. In this case, you can choose to upgrade to the Opusonix Educational tier with a discounted rate if you wish to continue using Opusonix for your future projects.
