Launch Opusonix Faster: How to Use Opusonix as an App on your Computer (and your Phone)

Opusonix is a web-based application and can be accessed by visiting the web address of https://opusonix.com/signin. While you can certainly bookmark this page to speed up this step, there is a faster way to launch Opusonix: saving it as an app. You can do this easily if you use Chrome or Safari.

Safari

With Safari, the action you need is "Add to Dock". Here's how to add Opusonix to your Dock, like a regular app:

  1. Visit https://opusonix.com/signin to get to your Opusonix dashboard. Sign in if you are prompted.
  2. Click on the "File" menu, then choose "Add to Dock"
  3. Here, give it a simple name "Opusonix". Don't change the URL.
  4. Click on "Add".

That's it. By doing this, you'll have a new Opusonix icon added to your dock, and you can launch it with a single click. Better yet - Opusonix launched this way doesn't have the address bar, so you get more screen space than just using Opusonix in a regular browser.

Safari will actually create a small shortcut application called Opusonix, and it will be located in ~/Applications folder.

Chrome

With Chrome, the action you need is "Install Page as App". Here's how:

  1. In Chrome, visit https://opusonix.com/signin to get to your Opusonix dashboard. Sign in if you are prompted to do so.
  2. Click on the triple-dot icon near the right of your address bar, then go into "Cast, Save and Share", then click on "Install Page as App".
  3. Confirm the App creation dialog.

That's it! Now you will see a new app called "Opusonix" being created in a folder. If you are on a Mac, you can drag this app into your Dock. If you're on Windows, you can move this app to your desired location, or create a shortcut pointing to it.

If you are on a Mac, Chrome will create a small shortcut application called Opusonix, which is stored in ~/Applications/Chrome Apps/ folder.
