Music project collaboration depends on clear communication, timely feedback, and staying aligned at every stage of production. Whether you’re delivering a new mix, reviewing client notes, or tracking revisions, even small delays can slow momentum and create unnecessary back-and-forth. That's why you may want to enable the Push Notification feature in Opusonix, so you get notified when:
- Someone sends a chat message in a track that you work on
- The change of state of a track project that you work on
- Someone responds to a Project Update email for a project that you work on
Enabling Push Notifications
To enable (or disable) Push Notifications on your current device:
- Go to any track project.
- Click on the Settings tab on the right, then scroll down to see the Push Notifications option.
- Click on it to enable, and grant the permission when prompted.
If you wish to receive push notifications in a different browser, or on your phone, please perform these actions on these devices.
Key Details about the Alerts
- The push notifications will be fired through your browser system. As long as your computer is connected to the Internet, and your browser of choice is running, you will receive the notifications. You do not need to have Opusonix open in your browser to receive the alerts.
- When the alerts show up, you can click on the alert to open up a browser tab to go to the project in question.
- The push notification feature works with most browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. This feature does not work with Safari Technology Preview, which does not support Web Notifications at the time of writing (February 2026).
Managing Devices that Receive Notifications
You can see a list of your devices that have signed up to receive notifications in the Account Settings panel. Here's how to locate this panel:
- Go to your Opusonix dashboard
- Click on your avatar icon near the top right corner, then choose "Account Settings" in the menu
- Switch to the Notifications tab.
Here, you'll be able to enable/disable or completely remove a device from receiving future notifications.
