Starting with the May 2024 Update, Pagico features a new Automated Workflows features which allows you to create custom routines that Pagico can perform on your behalf. This is a feature that can relieve you from performing many of the repetitive tasks in your task and project management activities. Starting with the November 2024 Update, the support for content variables was added.
Locating the Workflow Editor
The Workflow Editor is located in your Pagico Settings -> Database-Specific section. But a quicker way to get there is by clicking on the "Notification (bell)" icon in the toolbar, then click on the Workflow status item.
Creating and Managing Workflows
Workflows are a series of actions that can are performed when triggered. The workflows can be configured to be triggered by the creation or update of something that matched your predefined conditions, or they can be configured to be manually triggered.
To create new workflows, just click on the "Add New" button on the left of the Workflow Editor. Then, be sure to name your workflow in the "Workflow Title" field.
Defining the Workflow Trigger
The workflow trigger is a required element. Click on the "+" button in the "When this happens..." field to create and define the trigger. The object that triggered the workflow will be passed into the action sequence for data processing.
Defining the Workflow Actions
Workflows need to have at least one action. Click on the "+" button in the "Do this..." area to create and define the desired actions. Each action may also return a new data object (or pass on the data object from the previous step), so you can create a series of actions on the same data object.
Turning Workflows On and Off
By default, workflows are turned off. When the workflow is properly configured with no invalid values, you can turn it on by switching the toggle in the "Workflow Status" to the ON position. When you no longer need certain workflows, you can disable the workflow to prevent it from being triggered.
