If you run into missing DLL's on Windows, you can solve this issue by following the steps below, depending on the error messages:
Missing api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll?
You are most likely to be on Windows 7 when you see this message. This message can be safely ignored, as it is complaining about a notification component that requires Windows 8 or later. Don't worry --- Pagico will know that you're on Windows 7 and will not use this component on your computer. So you won't see this message again. Just dismiss it and you'll be all set.
Note: You should no longer see this error message in Pagico 8.4 r2067 or later.
Missing MSVCP140.dll?
This message indicates that your system doesn't have the Microsoft VC 2015 Runtime component installed. This is a required component for Pagico to function. The Pagico for Windows installer should automatically try to install this during the Pagico installation, But if you need to install it again, you can find the MSVC 2015 Runtime package installer here:
C:\Program Files\Pagico\vc_redist.exe
Simply double click on that file to install (admin's rights required). Alternatively, you can also download & install the MSVC 2015 package directly from Microsoft.
Unable to install the MSVC 2017 Runtime component?
The MSVC 2017 component should install successfully on your computer most of the time. However, we've learned that certain antivirus software on your computer may block the installation of it, resulting in a "Access is denied" error message. So if this is the message that you see, try turning your antivirus app off and see if that helps.
